The Thurstons are Heading North this Weekend
I trust my note finds you doing well and walking in the blessings of the Lord. We are gearing up for a trip to Northern Michigan. We will be crossing the Mackinac Bridge and into the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. This will be our second time ever sharing our music and ministry over the bridge. The last time was about 10 years ago.
We are excited about this weekend and look forward to meeting many new friends. If you live in these areas or are traveling in the area, please plan to join us. If you know people who do live in the area please let them know we will be there.
Here are our scheduled stops for this weekend:
Saturday, August 11th – Hiawatha Youth Camp – Eckerman, MI @ 7pm
Sunday, August, 12th – Community Bible Church – Strongs, MI @ 11am
Please be in prayer with us for safe travels and great services. It’s our desire that people’s lives will be changed as they are drawn to the Saving Grace of Christ and that folks who are dealing with things in life will be reminded of the truth that they are going to make it.
As excited as we get about traveling and sharing the gospel, we also look forward to a weekend off. We are off the weekend of August 17th – 19th for some time of rest and being with our families.
Marni will also be leaving for Spain where she competes in an International Olympic Weight Lifting Competition. As many of you know, she has been very successful and brought home many Gold Medals. Now you have a full understanding of why I refer to her as the “Iron Pumpin’ Granny”. LOL
Don’t for get to mark your calendars to join us at the Lloyd Severance Thumb Gospel Music Convention that takes place at Bay Shore Camp in Sebewaing, MI on August 23 – 26, 2018.
The Thurstons will be performing on Saturday the 25th. This is a great event and you don’t want to miss it.
Also, don’t forget to call your local Christian radio stations and request to hear our song, “He’ll Return in the Clouds of Glory”. It ranked at #80 on the Affirm Gospel Radio charts after being released for only 3 weeks. We are expecting great things with this song. It’s a fun listening, toe tapping and hand clapping song.
I need to run. We leave out early in the morning for the U.P.
We appreciate all of you. Your prayers, financial support and attendance in our concerts and services is what keeps us going. We look forward to seeing you soon.
God bless you.
