This Coming Weekend!
Hello Everyone,
I trust you had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend. We were not on the road, but it feels like we were. We had a great weekend with all of the family and stayed very busy.
We have a busy weekend coming up and I wanted to quickly drop you a note to let you know where we’ll be, so that you can make plans now to join us if we’re scheduled to be anywhere near you.
Saturday night we share the program with a longtime friend, Mark Lanier. Some of you may remember Mark from his days with Perfect Heart. They were a great Quartet that we became friends with very quickly. Mark is a great singer, and a wonderful song writer as well.
Sunday takes to us to Tecumseh, MI for the Sunday morning service. This will be our second time at this church. We had a great service when we were there last and expect the same.
Sunday night takes us to Findlay, OH to the Upper Room Church of God. Marni and I have been ministering at this church most of our married life. It’s a great church. We hope to see some of our Ohio area friends there.
Here are the scheduled bus stops this weekend:
Saturday @ 7pm
Wood Haven Baptist Church – Woodhaven, MI (w/Mark Lanier)
Sunday Morning @ 11am
Tecumseh Free Will Baptist Church – Tecumseh, MI
Sunday Night @ 6pm
Upper Room Church of God – Findlay, OH
Let me quickly mention a couple of other upcoming events you’ll want to make note of.
September 14 & 15 is the Michigan Southern Gospel Music Stop that takes placed at Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene in Britten, MI. Friday & Saturday nights will be packed with great gospel music by a number of groups. The Thurstons will be appearing on Saturday night at 6pm.
October 20th will be a great night of Gospel Music at Hudsonville Reformed Church in Hudsonville, MI. There are 5 groups on the program that night. The Thurstons are the only trio, the others are all quartets. Be sure to plan to be with us that night if you live in the West Michigan area.
November 10 & 11 is a 2 Night – 2 City Stop for a Thurston Homecoming Weekend. We will be hosting our friends the Woodsmen Qt. and Jonathan White. The Thurstons will also be performing each night.
Saturday night will be held in Battle Creek, MI at Family Altar Chapel. Sunday night will be at our home church, the House of Prayer in Haslett, MI. Make plans now to be with us for this exciting weekend of gospel music.

There are lots of other scheduled services and events that I did not mention in this e mail. We love seeing you and visiting with you at our concerts.
