This Is It!

Hey Everyone,

This is it! We have officially approached the last full weekend of the Summer Season. I know that most folks will say that’s Labor Day, but since next weekend we start a new day of the month on a Saturday, I’m calling this weekend “IT”.

Although the Summer Sings are coming to an end, we are going out with a BANG. We will be loading the bus tomorrow afternoon and are headed to the Thumb of Michigan where they tell me you are “Thumbbody”.

This is one of our favorite stops of the year. We will be sharing our music at the Lloyd Severance Thumb Gospel Music Convention. The event starts tonight (Thursday). There are concerts being held on Thursday & Friday Nights @ 6:30pm, and Saturday’s activities begin at 10AM and run through 9PM. This event is held on the beautiful grounds of Bayshore Camp in Sebewaing, Michigan.

The Convention Board has worked hard to line up what again proves to be some of the best talent in Gospel Music, including 11th Hour, The Sound, The Calvarymen Qt., Soul’s Harbor, Justified Qt., and closing out the program on Saturday night will be our good friends, Tribute Qt. from Nashville, TN.

The Thurstons will be singing on Saturday @ 3:30pm in the Tabernacle. We always look forward to seeing so many friends at this event. Be sure to come by our table and say hello, take a picture with The Thurstons, and don’t forget to get our latest CD, titled “God’s Amazing Grace”.

We are also excited about being back with our friends at Living Waters Chapel in Caro, MI this Sunday Morning at 10am. We have not been to this church in a few years and I know we’ll have a great time worshiping together.

Radio Update
We received word today that our current radio song, “He’ll Return In The Clouds of Glory”, is doing great. They expect the song to keep climbing and we are expecting good things. We heard from Affirm Southern Gospel Radio last week who indicated we were placing well on their weekly Gospel Music Charts. We are grateful for that.

In closing, let me ask that you please keep us in your prayers this week. We have a busy weekend ahead and we are traveling to meet at Bayshore Camp from all directions. Monty is coming in from Battle Creek where he and I will get on the bus in Holt and head to the Thumb on Friday.
Marni is flying in from Barcelona, Spain. After she lands in Detroit she will drive up to meet us late Friday night.

All of the other groups are coming in from all different directions. We are trusting God to place a hedge of protection around each of them as they travel and for them to be rested so that they can present the Gospel with excellence this weekend.

In closing, let me say that we greatly appreciate each and every one of you. Your prayers and continual support in attending our services keeps us encouraged to fulfill the calling God has placed on our lives. We don’t take it lightly. Thank you!
