This week’s hello from the Thurstons

Hello Everyone,

I trust my e mail this week finds you doing well and walking in the blessings of the Lord.

It has been a while since I sent you a note so I thought I’d take a few minutes and fill you in on many exciting things that are going on with the Thurstons.

First, here are the bus stops for this weekend:

Saturday – February 6 @ 5 PM – Wild Game Dinner/Wesleyan Church/Eaton Rapids, MI

Sunday – February 7 @ 10:40 AM – First Church of the Nazarene/Mason, MI

I have been told that the doors for the wild game dinner will lock at 4:45 pm and no one will be able to get in after that.  The building holds 450 people and in the past few years they have filled the room with well over 500.  Be sure to get there early to get a seat.  Listen to some great gospel music and enjoy some wild game.

We always enjoy being with our good friends at the First Church of the Nazarene in Mason, MI.  They really know how to worship the Lord and it’s an honor to share our music with them each year on Super Bowl Sunday morning.

Speaking of bus stops – We got a new bus!  Well, it’s not a new one but it is new to us.  God has richly blessed the Thurstons with a newer coach to travel in.  I can’t wait for you all to see it.  God is good!

Baby due Soon

Please keep Ron and Jamie Lucas in your prayers.  They have a baby due in the next few weeks.  They are really excited.  Ron reports that Jamie is feeling well and everything is fine.  We will be taking two weekends off in hopes that the baby comes on time and they can enjoy a little down time together with the new addition to their family.

Mr. Bob Passes Away

As many of you already know, Fred’s dad (We called him Mr. Bob) went home to be with the Lord a few weeks ago.  Please continue to keep the family in your prayers as they are still going through some adjustments with their dad and Robin’s husband no longer being with us.  We know we’ll meet him again and we believe it will be very soon.

New CD/DVD

The mix and editing of our live recording will be completed sometime in the next few weeks and we should have it available for you sometime in March.  We will keep you updated as it becomes available.

People are being Saved!

We are happy to report that several people have surrendered their hearts and lives to the Lord Jesus Christ in our services in 2010.  We get excited about someone coming to know Christ and are believing for many more to be saved in our services this year.

Upcoming Events

We have a busy year ahead of us.  We are scheduled to be in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia and Florida this year and we are adding dates every day.

Take a look at our events page and plan to be with us when we’re in an area close to you.  We always enjoy seeing you.

As always, we certainly appreciate your friendship and your prayers.  We’ll look forward to seeing you at a concert event or church service very soon.
