The Thurstons
I trust my e mail finds you doing well and walking in the blessings of the Lord.
We had great services last weekend in New Haven and Leonard..both in Michigan. It was great to see many friends and share the great news of the gospel in song.
We have quite a busy fall schedule. Be sure to look at our website on the events page and see where we’ll be. If we’re near you, we hope you can join us for a great time of worship and gospel music. Our website is www.thethurstonfamily.org <www.thethurstonfamily.org>
Here’s where we’ll be over the next few weekends:
Oct 11 – Riverside Baptist Church, Homer, MI @ 6pm
Oct 12 – Independent Full Gospel Church, Ashley, IN @ 10:30am
Oct 12 – Cedar Lake Church, Waterloo, IN @ 5pm
Oct 26 – United Brethren Church, Kunkle, OH @ 11am
Oct 26 – Zion Community Church, Wauseon, OH @ 4pm
Speaking of a great fall event. How about A Thurston Homecoming. We have the information included in the attachment in this e mail. It’s a 2 Night – 2 City Stop in Battle Creek and Haslett with The Thurstons and our good friends, Brian Free & Assurance.
Make plans now to joins us. I know it’s going to be great and you’ll not want to miss it.
We’ve all been busy with family, friends, church activities, grandkids sporting events, and our regular working schedules every week. God is good and is certainly blessing. There are several things I can share with you of what we’re trusting God for, but I’ll say this…God knows the needs and he said he’d meet it. He also said that we have more power together, so we certainly appreciate your prayers, specifically for wisdom and finances to take care of some mechanical things with the bus, and we also have a desire to get a new recording released in 2026. We’re began reviewing songs. We always want songs that will minister the word to the listener.
There are many people going through many things in this world and it seems like the enemy is working overtime at trying to attack and discourage the local church. We need to be united together as never before and be praying over our church families, church leadership, and our local and national government leadership, as well. This Nation was founded on Godly principals, and as far as I’m concern our hope is still in the Lord, and God loves this Nation and has put His favor upon this land.
Let’s be sure to life one another up and do what Monty wrote in the song we sing, “Show Love…Show Faith, through the labor of an Outstretched Hand”.
We love you all and appreciate your ongoing prayers and support for The Thurstons. We hope to see you somewhere soon. God bless. Have a wonderful weekend.
