Special report from the Thurstons

Hello Everyone,

I trust you’ve had an amazing week.  It has been beautiful here in Mid-Michigan where we live.

We had a great weekend last weekend in PA with our good friends, Justified.  We also were at the Free Methodist Church in Dansville, MI on Sunday morning.  That was our first visit there and we had a great service.

We traveled to the Clare County Fair for Sunday night and as we pulled into town the rain came down by the tank full.  The weather conditions forced the Fair Chairman to cancel the event.  So, we topped of the tank with fuel and headed to the house.  We like riding on the bus, but prefer to sing if we drive from PA back to MI for an event.  Just sayin’.

I’m thankful the rain came before we were all set up and ready to sing for the evening though.  I don’t like to think about a floating PA System.  Ha.

This Weekend:

We are gearing up for a great weekend.  In fact, I’m about to leave the office (yeah I  know, working late again.  LOL) and head home to wash the bus, check the fluids and make sure we’re ready to roll for the weekend.

We leave out early in the morning.  Here’s where we’ll be.

Wednesday Prayer – this is getting a HUGE response.

Keep an eye on facebook for more details, but we are doing a corporate day or prayer on Wednesdays and would appreciate your praying for our ministry.  We also would be honored to pray for you.  God is doing some powerful things right now.  I don’t think we scratched the surface of the Blessings He has for us and how He wants to use us for the Kingdom.

I am continually amazed at what folks are going through.  It’s an honor to pray for you.  Thanks for asking us to do so.

With that in mind, there were 3 young men in our area who were in an automobile accident a few nights ago.  They swerved to miss a deer in the road and the young man in the back seat was thrown from the car and killed instantly.  This young man was an employee who works with us here at our office.

His parents stopped into our office to share the terrible news with us on Wednesday morning.  Eric and I were here to meet with them.  Before they left Eric asked if he could pray for them and they said yes.  Thank God for the opportunity to speak words of comfort and peace into their lives.

I can’t even imagine what this family is going through with the loss of their 17 year old son.  Please remember Chris’ family in your prayers, as well as the other 2 young men who are in the hospital in critical condition.

There’s Power in Prayer, folks.  We need to lift one another up in prayer and be encouraged by one another.

I’ll close for now and hope to see you soon.  Your prayers and friendships are treasured and we appreciate you all so much.

Thank you for the opportunity you give us to share with you.

God bless you.  Have an amazing week!

Sincerely,

Dave Thurston
