The Thurstons
I trust my e mail finds you doing well and walking in the blessings of the Lord. We’ve been super busy, and having some wonderful services. It’s been so good to visit with so many friends, meet new folks, and even sing at new churches to us that we’ve never been to before. Most importantly has been the sweet presence of the Lord in our services these past few weeks. It has been a time of refreshing, for sure.
We have several more services scheduled for the rest of October, November and one weekend in December. We hope you can join us at one of these upcoming scheduled events. I do want to make a big deal about our Homecoming Weekend coming up on November 9th & 10th. This is a 2 City – 2 Night Event as we are celebrating our 20th Year in Ministry and sharing the good news of the Gospel in song. Not only will The Thurstons be part of these special nights, but our long time friends Brian Free & Assurance will be joining us. (See the attachment for more information). The concerts will be held at the following locations, dates and times.
Saturday Night – November 9th @ 6pm
Family Altar Chapel in Battle Creek, MI
Sunday Night – November 10th @ 6pm
House of Prayer in Haslett, MI
We’d love for you to join us in this wonderful time of Celebration.
While we’re celebrating our 20th Anniversary Year in Ministry, we have also been celebrating the lives of our family and friends who have recently went to Heaven. Monty’s mother, Judy Biship went to Heaven and last week we celebrated her life at a service where we heard stories and testimonies about her life. There were several songs and instrumentals that the grandkids sang and Monty shared a wonderful story about his mom.
Marni and I have been very close friends, Dave & Holly Cokonougher. A few years after we met them God called them into ministry and they eventually became our Pastor’s. A few weeks ago, Pastor Dave went to Heaven. We had a time of celebrating his life last Friday where he was honored by his family & friends, as well.
We are sure going to miss these people, but we are thankful for the time God allowed them to be part of our lives, and we’re thankful for what they poured into our lives and the wonderful friendships we had for many years. We are so thankful for the Promise of seeing them again and know that it will surely be a Glad Reunion Day when we do.
We appreciate your all and look forward to seeing you very soon. Please share our Homecoming Events with all of your friends. We want to pack the house out both nights and have a wonderful time together. God bless. Have an amazing rest of your week.
